I am truly blessed to be a woman in Primerica.
Eighteen years ago I was prospected into this great company.
I knew right away that this opportunity was right for me for a number of reasons: Firstly, at the time, I was working two jobs and struggling to pay the bills. I knew there had to be a better way. Secondly, I was a victim of the insurance industry, and was sold whole life insurance on my four boys as education plans. After paying for eighteen years, the cash build-up was eight hundred and eighty-eight dollars. I was given two options, I could borrow the money and pay it back with interest, or surrender the insurance and take the money. Primerica gave me opportunity to understand what was done to me, and how to help others.
The Primerica opportunity made me realize that we need to get this education. I believe that the lack of education and not understanding finances can be a cause of poverty. I was blown away when I learnt that this company was willing to cover the cost of my education on learning about financial concepts.
Today I live a life that is purpose driven -- giving others a chance like someone has given me. A chance for a better quality of life, a chance for freedom and a chance to build a legacy.
My advice to all women is life is too short to wake up with regrets. Forget about those who don’t believe in you. Everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. Life is not easy, but you can make it worth it. Let your life be worth it and see you at the top.
