Celebrating Women's History Month in Style

I am truly blessed to be a part of this incredible company that encourages women to build a business and become all that they can be.

Just over sixteen years ago, I was prospected by a stranger and shown an incredible opportunity. I was blown away by the thought that I could set my own hours and earn as much money as I wanted just by following a simple system.

At that time, I was working two jobs and raising four sons with my husband - my youngest child was just seven years-old. We were a family on a tight budget, and living cheque to cheque was normal for us.

I thank God that I did not make any excuses. I saw an opportunity and a chance to improve and become all that I can be. Besides, I was also tired from working two jobs for eleven years. I needed a better way to succeed and I found it.

As women, we sometimes make excuses, feel that we are not adequate enough and accept what life throws our way. That wasn’t me. I knew that in my family, we couldn’t live cheque to cheque if we wanted to achieve all of our goals and dreams. I knew that I had to do better.

Ever since I was a child I dreamt of being my own boss and of financial independence. I wanted to do things on my own term. I didn’t like the thought of being dependent on anyone but myself. I dreamt of being in a position where I could give back by helping the less fortunate and ensuring thatI leave a legacy behind.

I have been blessed with being able to do all of that with Primerica. It’s surreal that everything I dreamt about has become reality. However, I am not done yet. As I grow, so do my goals and dreams and I know my possibilities are endless.

March is Women’s History Month, and I am thankful and grateful for the amazing women who fearlessly lead, like Candy Gocool who mentors us and encourages daily. I am also inspired by the many talented and driven women in the Legacy Builders Family who persevere and make a difference for others.

I am also thankful for our team, Legacy Builders - Team Rock. We have a group of strong women who strive to change their family tree daily and become all that they can be.

Happy Women’s History Month, let’s make 2021 our most successful year yet.
