Partnership in Practise

What a business!! Where people are able to keep their priorities intact, while growing a family business together! Once upon a time, Brenda and I met each other in the health and services field. Brenda, a massage therapist and myself a personal trainer. Both working at Ste. Anne’s, we met each other in 2002 with goals of living a life filled with health and vitality.

Later in 2004 we started dating and started building our life together. After buying a home and having our first born; James, life began to give us the tell tale signs that so many experience….FINANCIAL STRUGGLE!

With Brenda off work on mat leave, I was pouring in the hours at work, trying to keep us afloat. After many months of struggle, PRIMERICA found us at our KT, ripe with all of the wrong financial products.

After becoming clients, we were invited to take a look at the business opportunity on a part time basis.

Fast forward to today, and Brenda and I are stronger than ever! We have been able to keep our priorities of health, fitness and our kids at the centre of our lives. Primerica has enabled us to directly link our desire for freedom of choice and time with helping others. The more we help our team win, the more freedom we earn. Again, what a business!

We have many great couples in our business today and we are so excited to help them and be apart of their journey. Our partnership is extraordinary and we are so proud to be in this great business together! Partnership In Practice Brenda and I have different roles in the business, but each is equally important. (We have dubbed our roles as, “departments.”)

I have always been the lead agent in the field helping our new recruits get licensed and productive, while also being at the helm of our environment.

Brenda has never failed with keeping our home environment incredibly supportive, loving and without judgement. She is also a strong people person with excellent people skills. She has never shied away from striking up conversations with people she meets. She is integral in our office and plays a huge role in supporting the team. Worth noting, Brenda is dually licensed with us as we believe that even supportive partners should consider becoming licensed.

Brenda is quite literally the best partner in the business in my opinion and I feel beyond lucky to have found such a beautiful soul that means the world to me. She and my two kids are the reason we have found balance in this crazy life and I wouldn’t change a thing!

As we grow our business, income and leadership, it will be from this strong partnership as a backdrop. My advice to anyone with a strong partnership, would be to determine your roles and support each other faithfully in these roles. When one person is tired or needs to rest, BE THERE for them and know that all the money and PRI fame in the world is NOT worth a failing home life and toxic home environment.

For those who are not in a partnership, this should NOT hold you back! The fact that you are “single piston” engine means less to get in the way, and provides more predictability with less compromise. Move forward with your personal goals in mind and let yourself dive into this incredible journey. As with most things in life, you will often find what you want or need along the way, including your future partner, while you are uber focused on something else, (your PRI biz!)

Wouldn’t it be great to be established, focused and well on your way to financial independence when you meet your life partner?!

What a business! At the end of the day, NONE of us get out of this life alive and we cant bring any material possessions with us beyond the grave. We often talk about impact and significance in this business. This starts at home with your family and partner. Teach your kids how to be a great partner. Teach your kids that regardless of what they do to earn a great lifestyle, that the, “economy” and environment at home is what really matters. From this strong foundation, you can go on to help thousands of others, help countless missions and do so much good in this world. Together. Focused and determined, Primerica is the greatest vehicle available to average and ordinary people like us. Remember, this is a customizable vehicle. It may start out as a single seater. Perhaps it’s a two-seater roadster. Regardless, it will also be there for you to drive as you wish, off into the sunset. May this find you having an incredible day.
