Supporting Each Other = Growing Together

One of the great joys of building a Primerica business is Partnership! Two people working together to build one dream is always better.

My role as a partner has constantly evolved over the years.

Firstly, for me to be a supportive partner I believe that I needed to understand exactly what I was supporting. This business is all about learning by experience, so I made it a priority early in our career to go on field training appointments with Robert. I have experienced firsthand how this company helps people, and that made me proud to represent a company that transforms the financial positions of hardworking families.

Secondly, I think it is very important to get both licences. Through getting my life and mutual funds licenses, I gained a valuable financial education and learned so much about all the options that are available to grow our business. Licensing is also critical for ownership. Being fully licensed positions me to continue earning the income from our family business, just in case Robert can no longer run the business. I always the value and potential of Primerica, so getting licensed was also about securing the future earning potential for our family.

Thirdly, I understood that this is a relationship building business, it is not just all work. Our team needs to know who I am and that I am here to support them. I have played so many different roles in this area over the years. I have been the social committee, I have helped organize events to meet partners, I have arranged prizes and awards for recognition and even helped tutor reps who are preparing for their licensing exams. I have also been the coffee maker, the fashion consultant, the driver and sometimes I’m just there to listen and encourage a rep when they experience a challenge.

Lastly, I recognized that the most important aspect of partnership is to truly support each other. For me, this means not just saying I am supportive or being helpful when it is convenient, but actually showing it with my actions. Supporting each other also means improving and growing together; this is truly a self-improvement business. Together we sold out to the idea that we can grow a business by growing ourselves.

The journey of building our business has been a fun and exciting opportunity for us! Robert made it really easy to support him because he was always a DO-er and always getting results and bringing home money. I’m thrilled that we made a decision from the beginning to use Partnership to grow our Primerica business.
