In 2005, I was first introduced to the amazing company called Primerica. Prior to joining this life changing company, I was a commodity trader earning what was considered a “good” income in the corporate world. My husband Jacob owned his own business and was making a six-figure income. At the time we had two daughters- Rosanna and Christina. Jacob and I main goal was to make an extra income but through our own business, not the corporate world. We live in a country with a progressive taxation system and the only way to capitalize on it was to be in business for ourselves, the Primerica Opportunity was the answer.
I had this aspiration of being a business owner at a young age after graduating from the Toronto School of Business. I was in the job force for eight years and changed companies three times throughout my career. Primerica was the opportunity of a lifetime where my husband and myself could achieve intergenerational wealth for our family and leave a legacy for future generations to come. I made up my mind that I no longer wanted to be a part of the corporate world. I wanted to have unlimited time and freedom with my family. Primerica was the place for me.
In the fall of 2006, my third daughter Emily was born, and we decided to give our business everything we had.
Having the support of our great coaches, team, and family we became RVP in August 2008. The Primerica business permitted me to have multiple streams of income, which is perfect for mothers with newborns. In October of 2008, I had my fourth child Joel and I took advantage of spending as much time as I needed with my kids. Sending them to the best private schools, not having a babysitter, and still being able to run my own business, is what I believe every woman dreams of.
After spending the desired time I needed with my kids, I made the decision to get back into the field. To rebuild my business and take it to the next level. I understood my purpose here, leading a life of positivity impacting others and selling the vision the same way it was sold to me.
It was up to me to transform my life. I had a good life, but I wanted it to be a great life. Henry Ford once said, “mediocrity is the enemy of prosperity”. I came to a place in my life where I realized my income was insufficient and I needed more. This business gave me the opportunity to achieve my goals and revealed to me a whole new way of living.
