I am very grateful that when the Primerica opportunity came my way about 30 years ago, I took the chance or I could have missed it.

I was not invited to join the business. One evening a friend of mine called me to air her frustration that she had no ride to an important meeting. I felt bad. So I drove her to the meeting. Lo and behold it was a Primerica Opp Meeting. I had no choice but to listen and I’m very glad I did. For me it was the start of a new awakening about money. It peaked my interest. After the meeting I asked my friend why I was not on her invite list. She said, “Oh. You’re too busy. You have a good job. You’re in school for another degree. I don’t think you would be interested.”

Luckily I was able to find the phone number of the Head Office in Mississauga. I called and asked where I could get more information. The person I spoke to directed me to a Fast Start School that weekend, so Lino and I went to check it out. I got excited and decided to join.

Yes. I had a good job. I was and assistant lab supervisor in a chemical plant making good money. But we were living paycheque to paycheque because of lack of education about money. Primerica gave me a chance to make in a month what I used to make in a year.

Primerica changed our family life as well. With the Ownership Program we are building a legacy for the next generation. My daughter and son-in-law are in the business with me. Both of my children were able to finish university OSAP free.
