The Power of a Made-up Mind

We are so excited to have crossed over the $100,000 income milestone. We are so thankful for the mentorship we receive from our amazing coaches: Gery and Rebecca Bittner, Don and Elaine Boardman, Bobby and Candy Gocool, Brian and Cheryl Duxbury. When you commit to the guidance from this amazing lineage of heart-centred leaders, you have no choice but to grow and succeed!

Like most people whose heart is captured by Primerica, my journey began before I had even heard of the opportunity. As a German-born Afghan immigrant, we followed the same path most new immigrants face. My parents told us to go to school, get good grades so we could have a great ‘job’. I did exactly this. I graduated with a specialist degree in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and, as a result, landed a job within a Clinical Research facility as a Clinical Research Coordinator. At that time, I had a full-time corporate job in addition to two part-time jobs. I quickly realized that working hard in the corporate world only gets you so far. This is when my sister and I began searching for the right entrepreneurial opportunity.

A friend of hers invited her to an opportunity meeting. She came home super excited that night, and I said to her, ‘Whatever it is, I’m in!’. I began my journey as a part-time representative, but after 8 months of being in the Primerica environment I jumped in full-time. My sister and I worked together for the first couple of years, but she decided to take the knowledge she gained from Primerica and use it to open her restaurant. I continued with my Primerica business and earned the Regional Vice President contract a few years later. Although my income grew consistently year over year, I did not make any huge leaps until I met my fiancé, Alex Baller.

Since Alex and I began growing in business and life together, we have grown our client base significantly and are now building a phenomenal team. Side note to the single ladies: work on yourself and your Primerica business and the right man will come along! Alex was working out West in the oil industry when we met. A couple of months into dating, I invited him to come to the 2019 Atlanta Convention. He was hooked after that!

At the beginning of 2021, we were frustrated that we hadn’t reached the $100,000 income level yet. Our goal was to make sure we could check that off our list by the end of the year. I decided to sincerely elevate my beliefs on abundance and self-worth, while making sure we had the work ethic to match. The results didn’t show up right away, but we continued to work hard anyway. As Napolean Hill said, “Any impulse of thought which is repeatedly passed on to the subconscious mind is finally accepted and acted upon.”. By the second half of the year, the work we put in began to materialize.

The most exciting part of achieving this milestone is being able to help our team grow and achieve the same goal in a shorter time frame. We are focused on growing our licensing this year and achieving ownership along the way.
