The Best is Yet to Come!

My goal as a CPA was to become a partner in a CPA firm and on retirement, I would be guaranteed a continued stream of income from the partnership. I was up there…with six weeks to confirmation as a partner and then life threw me a very twisted curve ball!

A few years ago, I adapted to the gig economy and started working as a fractional CFO for small and growth companies. This was my first foray into entrepreneurship. Then in 2019, a friend was approached by a Primerica RVP and came to me to validate the business model. I felt it was too simple and too good to be true, so I called my cousin Hasnain Abdulaziz (a Primerica veteran!) and the rest is history.

I wanted recurring, passive income and there it was right at my feet, on my terms and my timings! I started seriously in August 2020 during the pandemic and have been lucky. My journey in Primerica has had its ups and downs, and Hasnain and Bobby have both been there whenever I needed them – a big thank you for teaching us how to fish and not feeding us fish! And thanks to my wife Shenaz, who continues to encourage and support me throughout, taking care of other matters so I can focus on attending to my clients.

I look forward to ownership in the next couple of years and wind down my fractional CFO practice, taking up Primerica full time. Lots to do, lots to target and lots to achieve. Never a dull moment.
